Instant Results at One Step Test


Major innovations and breakthroughs have been brought by technology. Bottlenecks in different procedures have been minified. Today, the requirement goes a little bit shorter, compacted to make everything simple and fast. Medical Test is the most common procedures wherein, notable improvements are evident.

The medical industry is now on the generation of onestep test where instant results are obtainable in a short span of time in a very easy step.

Detecting ovulation is a fine example of classic one step test. The past decades has its own quirky history of this test but today it is not a tough process to undergo through and that is because of different aids being used such as one step ovulation predictor. The particular test detects ovulation approximately 20 to 44 hours prior to the event using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technology to detect LH in the urine. To show how one step test works, the process of ovulation detection using one step ovulation detector will be discussed in the following paragraph.

The patient is requested to provide a urine sample. The sample specimen should be collected between 10 in the morning and 8 in the afternoon, and never the first urine. The patient needs to draw a small amount of urine into the dropper. The patient waits 3 to 5 minutes until she can read result in the one step ovulation detector cassette’s result window. She should not move the test cassette until the test is complete and ready for interpretation. Results must be read before 5 minutes pass. Interpreting the results is very simple, as what the word onestep test denotes. Compare the color of the test line with the color of the reference line. In the one step ovulation detector, if the pink-to-purple test line is darker than the reference line, the result is positive. If the pink-to-purple test line is lighter than the reference line or the same color as the reference line, the result is negative. There are cases wherein the patient does not see a reference line after the urine is added. This occurrence is considered invalid and a technical assistance should be called for assistance. Although one step tests are proven, there are considerations that the patient should count. For instance, in detecting ovulation, the patient should reduce her liquid intake for about 2 hours before collecting urine to prevent sample dilution. There is one thing sure about one step tests, fast and accurate results are obtainable.
